- Due to my own stupidity, I managed to fry my 4000's internal floppy by
- pluggin the power connector in upside-down. I wouldn't care so much
- except that whenever you buy software, it comes on floppy, so I'll need
- a floppy drive next time I buy any software.
-
- There's a company advertizing in the latest Amazing Amiga called
- "Integrated Teknologies Inc"[sic]. First question: are they reputable?
-
- Second question: they advertize A4000 1.76 Mb drives for $129 as
- refurbs. That's probably more than I want to pay, and I can live with
- just 880K since that's what everything is distributed on. Is the A2000
- internal drive compatible (electrically and in form factor) with the
- 4000's internal drive? Their 2000 refurb .88 drives are $50, which is
- more along the lines of what I'm willing to pay for a floppy.
